Summary
In Chapter 10, Clay and Amanda discussed what to do about G.H. and Ruth. Clay was in favor of letting them stay but Amanda remained suspicious. Clay told Amanda that the couple was older and probably frightened and certainly meant no harm. Amanda claimed that G.H. looked familiar to her and Clay wondered if he had trouble telling people of different races apart from one another.
In Chapter 11, Clay and Amanda returned to the kitchen. G.H. was making drinks. The two couples talked casually about the house and Ruth turned on the television but it was only broadcasting a blue screen. Ruth suggested a terrorist attack might have occurred but G.H. said it would be best not to speculate. They reheated the pasta from dinner and ate, moving on to discussions of other dramatic events in New York City's history...
