Summary

Chapter 28 opens with Nick at Leah’s locker and he asks Leah about her hanging out with Abby that afternoon. Abby meets her at her locker that afternoon and compliments her on her universe dress. They walk out to the football field together and Abby tells Leah Morgan apologized to her. Abby tells Leah Morgan’s comment was hurtful and it is hard as a woman of color that she has to be “impeachably perfect” (257). Abby tells Leah she is cute.
