The dot tattoo Lissa and the other nominees wear is a mixture of blood, earth, and compulsion. The tattoo keeps the nominees from revealing the tests and processes of electing a new monarch to the court.

Stake

A steel stake is the weapon the guardians use to kill Strigoi. They drive the stake into the hearts of the Strigoi to kill them. Morois with special powers can also use the steel stake to bring Strigoi back to life and return them Moroi.
