Siberia

This is where the story takes place. The main character, Joe Mack, escapes from a prison in Siberia and is on the run in different locations within the taiga of Siberia for over a year.

Lake Baikal Region Prison

This is the prison barracks from which Joe Mack escapes from. This prison is surrounded by a ten-foot high electrified barbed wire fence.

Vanyushin's Cabin

This cabin is where Mack steals a sweat shirt, canned meat, and a knife in the beginning of his journey. Two geologists are staying in this cabin and they do not realize they have been robbed.

The Village

The village is a group of about 29 people who are on the run from the Russian government. They live in the mountains of Siberia and are left alone in exchange for furs they give to the Russian official in Aldan. Mack stays with this group...
