Summary
The narrative then includes a reproduction of the text conversation between Ivik and Arnaq (in which Arnaq referred to their being together the night before, and in which Ivik said she did not want to cheat anymore). These texts are juxtaposed with a text conversation between Ivik and Sara, in which Ivik talks enthusiastically about looking forward to seeing Sara, and Sara comments that Ivik’s texts seem strange: in her texts, Ivik calls Sara “iggu” (131)
Ivik prepares for a special evening with Sara – nice food, candles, wine, deleted texts from Arnaq – and when Sara comes home it starts well, with Sara accepting the offer of a massage from Ivik. But then Sara needs to use Ivik’s phone, and Ivik is unable to keep her from doing so. Sara finds a text from Arnaq, and becomes both angry and sad...
