Summary
Cao Cao decides to build a plane despite not knowing how to fly. He is a farmer, but he believes himself to be more suited to inventing. He is also determined to join the Chinese Communist Party and submits an application as frequently as he is able.
A decade ago, he invented a noodle-slicing robot, bringing pride to his wife, Anning, and the rest of the village people who clamored to see how it worked. He was disappointed that his application to join the party was again rejected after the invention.
Cao Cao works tirelessly as the seasons change, bringing gifts to the party members and remaining hopeful that his invention will secure his membership. After months of work, the plane is ready, and all of the villagers come out to see. The plane is unable to take off and Cao Cao worries...
