Summary

In Chapter 12, Stronger by Far, Emma puts a healing rune on Julian but it does not stop the bleeding, which makes her know the situation is serious. She texts Livvy, naming a nearby location, and quickly drives there. She gets in the backseat with Julian and begins to perform additional healing runes. She wants to go for help, but Julian insists Emma can heal him. He is bleeding profusely but they realize the rune is taking on a kind of power neither has ever experienced as Emma lets her memories take over. They are both emotional afterward, but Julian is healed. Livvy, Mark, Christina, and Ty arrive on a faerie steed that Mark says he borrowed. Christina gives Emma a reassuring hug and Emma realizes she has a deep connection to Christina. Emma notices that Mark looks “more like a Shadowhunter” in his jeans...
