Summary
In Chapter 9, Faye and Paola met Faye’s translator, a woman named Felicia, over dinner at a restaurant. Paola announced that she felt like drinking a lot of wine, and ordered accordingly. Felicia had to remove her bike helmet from their table in order to make room for the wine, which prompted Paola to ask why she was biking on such a hot day, and what had happened to her car. Felicia explained that Stefano, her ex-husband, reclaimed their shared car, which technically belonged to him. Felicia told Faye and Paola that what had galled her most about his taking back the car was the manner in which he did it, without warning.
