Summary
In Chapter 6, Miller moved in with Lucas in Philadelphia and continued to wait for the slow wheels of justice to turn. Lucas was attending graduate school, so Miller's days were lonely and unstructured. She attended a meeting of the comedy club run by the school with Lucas and enjoyed it. She wrote her own bit and was given the opportunity to perform it. She did well and felt she was gaining her confidence back once more. The next day, however, she was hit by a wave of sadness. She called her mother, who told stories from her youth. One day, on campus, Miller saw a statistic in a newspaper that said one in four women were sexually assaulted.
