Summary
In Chapter 24, Harry called Bjørn and asked permission to use his access code to see the files in Rakel’s case. Harry knew that Bjørn could not give Harry his password directly but finally convinced Bjørn to give him a hint. Bjørn told him “Two letters, four numbers … If I had to choose, I’d like to die like him. In a car, right at the start of the new year” (180).
In Chapter 25, outside Rakel’s house, as he and Kaja were reconsidering Rakel’s murder, Harry recognized Kaja’s boot print after she stepped on a cigarette butt to extinguish it. The print matched a footprint among the evidence in Rakel’s murder case. Harry noticed Kaja’s back stiffen when he called her back to him.
