Billy Weaver
Billy Weaver is the main character of the story "The Landlady." Billy is 17 years old when he travels from London to Bath. When he first arrives, he is unsure where to stay, and asks the porter about local accommodations. Though the porter suggests The Bell and Dragon, Billy is taken by a bed and breakfast that he passes on his way.
Shortly after entering the bed and breakfast, Billy becomes unnerved by the landlady and the two familiar names he sees in the guestbook. He convinces himself the woman is harmless, and stays. During his time there, he learns that the last two guests never left and that the landlady is an avid taxidermist. The narrative implies that she will kill Billy and stuff him the way she has her pets and her last guests.
