Summary

Book Six begins in March of 2004 as the elders arrive in Kiyiika village. The villagers laugh when the elders announce they are members of the Kintu clan returning home, but Miisi is impressed at the preservation of culture, lore, and nature around them. The elders have been meeting over the last month, using Miisi’s dreams to locate where Kintu lived. Although the road was rocky and those they passed by were wary of their travels, the four councillors agree to meet with the elders.

After introductions, they explain that many people have come claiming they are Kintu’s descendants. However, the spirit of Nnakato in the woods kills imposters.
