Summary
In Chapter 6, Beauvoir talked to Annie about the meeting while he ate dinner with Annie. He told her that the investigators had tried to get him to sign papers. He said they kept referencing the drugs from the raid that had been allowed to get through. Beauvoir told Annie that those drugs were terrible. It was believed they were still somewhere in Montreal. Beauvoir told Annie it would be a “shitstorm” (46) once those drugs were on the streets. He believed the department planned to blame what would happen on Gamache.
