Chapter 1, Strange Visitor Summary

Kingdom Come is a DC comics mini-series of four comic books, bound together to create one graphic novel. The compelling story entwines a number of old favorite super heroes who join forces once again—not to defeat evil, but to defeat the younger generation of super heroes that runs wild and endangers the very world they should be working to save.

The opening pages of Chapter One display quotes from Revelation in the Bible. The graphics depict a soaring eagle colliding with a bat. The next two pages depict horrific warfare along with more quotations from the Book of Revelation.

The chapter begins with Rev. Norman McCay visiting a sick church member in the hospital. The old, frail man seems crazy and talks of the end of the world. Norman tries to calm him down, but the strange...
