Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the main character and protagonist of “Killing Jesus”. The self-proclaimed Son of God, messiah and King of the Jews, Jesus fulfills many prophecies from Jewish culture, leading to the claim that he is arguably the most influential man in the world. Jesus is born in Bethlehem in 5 BC, causing Herod the Great to order the slaughter of all Jewish baby boys when he learns that the King of the Jews has been born. Fortunately, Jesus’s parents manage to escape with him before he can be harmed. When Jesus is twelve years old, his parents realize he is missing from their caravan as they return home from celebrating Passover in Jerusalem, and they find him teaching in his "Father's house" to scholars who are amazed at his understanding of complex religious subjects.
