Chapter 13 Summary

At the end of the tunnel, the group finds themselves in a cavern with a platform crossing over a pit of stakes. The walls have holes big enough for shooting bullets, so the group knows they have to cross the platform and pit to get to the rest of the tunnel. They plan to cross one at a time in case there is a trap. At the end of the tunnel on the other side of the platform stands Steve. Vancha is crossing the platform, so Steve lights a match and throws it into the petrol filled pit. The flames explode up and take Vancha with them.
