Chapter 2 Summary

The group returns to the three apartments they have been occupying during their journey. Vancha takes the Vampet to the middle apartment to torture him to try to get information out of him about the Lord of the Vampaneze. Shan, Harkat and Crepsley take Leopold into another apartment, where they eat, drink and clean their wounds. Shan tries to get information out of Leopold, but Leopold refuses to provide any information. All Leonard divulges is that the Vampaneze have been plotting to capture this group for years and that they have created special tunnels and caverns to do so. Leonard says he's been plotting against Shan because Shan had caused Leopold to be turned into a Vampaneze.

Vancha comes into the apartment after torturing and killing the Vampet. He tells the rest of the group that Mr. Tiny has required that the Lord...
