Summary
This chapter opens with Mad's perspective. Detective Bundle is interrogating Mad, who has just gotten to the part in her story about her grandmother killing Uncle Les. Detective Bundle does not believe her. Suddenly, the door flies open and Sergeant Mendes enters. It turns out that Vic told this part of the story at the same time as Mad. Vic and Mad sit in the room while Sergeant Mendes and Detective Bundle confer in the hallway. Mendes sends officers to the hospital to try and locate Mad's grandmother. Mendes is very urgent about finding Mad's grandmother; Detective Bundle, on the other hand, still cannot believe that Mad's grandmother was involved. He points out Baz's baseball cap; how DNA was found in the cap and the cap was found at the murder scene. Vic explains that he wore Baz's hat that night. Bundle says...
