Summary
This chapter opens with Mad's perspective. Mad is being interrogated by Detective Bundle. Mad tells Detective Bundle that Elliott Smith was the first record she bought with the allowance her mother gave her. She tells him how Uncle Lester sold off her record player to buy liquor. She also tells him how Uncle Les branded her by holding a lighter under the record. In other words, he used the melted metal to scar her. Detective Bundle asks if she moved in with her uncle after her parents died. She nods. He asks about how they passed away. She tells him it was a drunk driver. She shows him the scar she got in the crash that is on the shaved side of her head. They go outside for a smoke break. Detective Bundle asks her if Vic is a credible witness. Vic almost...
