Chapters Thirteen through Eighteen Summary

Joan says that she's met with Ian and Mertz to depose Ian, and that Ian continually "pled the fifth." It will later be revealed that he's going to testify that Mariah is a good mother and that he's seen no signs of fraud with regard to Faith's claims. He refuses to answer during deposition because he knows he has to tell the truth both in the deposition and in court or be found guilty of perjury. Hollywood Tonight film crews arrive, take forever to set up the equipment, and Faith insists on lunch before the allotted film time finishes. Petra goes to the kitchen with Mariah and laughs when Mariah invites her to join them for lunch, saying that they're having fishes and loaves. The show airs on November 24.
