Summary
In Chapter 18, the Kaikeyi from the future says the people claimed she mistreated Rama. However, Since she was 29 and dealing with the mistrust of men and condemnation by the sages, she was busy. This meant that she only heard of Rama's poor views on women from Asha. While Kaikeyi is certain a tutor told him this, Rama said subservient women are the way of the world that everyone should know. Kaikeyi is devastated but determined to do all she can to make the boys understand that women deserve equality.
That night, Kaikeyi finds Ravana after not seeing him for a decade. They talk about their kingdoms and Ravana says Shiva spared Lanka for a time. Now that Ravana is bringing in outside villages, the destruction is returning. He also lost his only daughter and Kaikeyi from the future wishes she had...
