Chapter Sixteen Summary
During the last lunch before Christmas break, Emily looks for Annabel in the library. She tells Annabel that she knows she has likely heard what happened between her and Will and that afterward she had thought a great deal about Annabel, and the party when school ended the previous year. She tells Annabel that she doesn't have to talk to her about it since she hates her but if something like that did happen to Annabel, it could help to make him stop. She takes out a card and puts it on the table in front of Annabel, telling her that it is the woman who's been working on her case.
