Chapter Fifteen Summary
Life for Annabel goes back to what it was like before Owen came along. She wakes up promptly at seven the day after leaving him without a word at Bendo, and tries to will herself back to sleep, but it doesn't work. The next day, their first day at school, Annabel isn't sure how to face Owen, but he makes the decision for her. He walks over to her car and gets into the passenger side. There is no hello as he asks her what happened to her and she has no idea how to answer. He gives her a chance to explain, telling her that she can tell him anything, but Annabel doesn't know where to start, so she just stays silent. Finally, he gets out and leaves her sitting there. She waits until the final bell before going in...
