Section 12: Chapters 19 & 20 Summary
In Chapter 19, Juniper decides to visit Euny and ask about her future since there are no current doran tasks to be completed. Euny expects Juniper, and when Juniper fills her in on the events at Castle Dore, Euny realizes Juniper is jealous of her mother's pregnancy and decides it is time for her to fly, an important way for dorans to discover their true vocation. Juniper prepares for the flying dream, fasting and anointing herself with ointment before concentrating on seeing the future. Juniper feels herself being pulled to a dark place that reminds her of her old dream, and she smells a familiar scent she cannot identify.
