Twelve Summary

In Twelve, Tom has 27 stitches in his head. Grant tells the doctor Tom fell and hit his head on a rock. The jumping will stop if Grant says anything to adults. Tom has Diane's attention. She is by his side. Mike says Tom is brave, but dumb; he could have been killed. Elisa is in shock and cannot stop shaking. Dru offers Elisa a ride, but she goes with Scooter. Mike says 27 stitches will not stop anyone from jumping. Hopi will jump; his friends will jump. Things have not gone far enough. Mike says the police cannot sit and wait to find someone in the act. Dru comes up with a plan to call the nice police officer who spoke at their school. Mike says they can think about it.
