Eight Summary

In Eight, Mike picks up Dru from Elisa's house. He dresses nicely and is showered in order to go to the Spindrift, the beach hangout. They stop by Dru's house and she changes and wears her hair the way Mike likes it. She remembers the first night Mike noticed her. Mike had usually politely looked at her, but that night, he seriously looked at her. He had asked her if she was a ballet dancer because of her hair and the way she moved. Dru had been excited.

Dru tries to convince herself she worries too much about Elisa. She looks at her new clothes for Northwestern.

Dru and Mike drive to the Spindrift, which has a jukebox, dance floor and food stand. Everyone is there. Diane comes up, only paying attention to Mike. They sit next to Scooter and Elisa. Scooter answers...
