Calpurnia's Dream

Calpurina has a dream the night before Caesar’s death and she tells Caesar that the dream is a warning of his doom. Caesar initially accepts Calpurnia’s insistence that he remain at home. Then, he grabs onto another explanation and goes to the Senate floor as usual, where he is murdered.

Daggers

The daggers are weapons used by Brutus and the others to kill Caesar.

Et tu, Brutus?

Caesar speaks these words when he realizes that even Brutus is among his attackers. Caesar had believed that Brutus was a loyal friend. He is literally heartbroken when he realizes that Brutus has joined in the murder.

The Ides of March

On the Ides of March Caesar is murdered on the Senate floor. Prior to that day, a soothsayer tells Caesar to “beware the Ides of March.”
