Summary

Act IV

In Act IV, Scene I, Antony, Octavius, and Lepidus are seated at a table in “A House in Rome.” The three men are discussing the fate of the conspirators who murdered Caesar. Octavius points out that Lepidus’ brother is among the murderers and Lepidus says his brother’s name should be on the list as should Publius, Antony’s nephew. Lepidus is sent off on an errand. After he leaves. Antony and Octavius discuss his role in their plans. Octavius expresses disdain for Lepidus and asks why Antony chose Lepidus to have a say. Antony says they needed someone to help and that Lepidus is perfect for that.

Act IV, Scene II takes place at a Camp near Sardis Before Brutus’s Tent. Brutus, Lucilius, and Lucius are there along with a couple of soldiers. Lucilius says he has seen Cassius...
