Summary

Chapter 13 starts with Juliet speaking on the phone with her cousin, Ava, while in the library doing research. Ava invites Juliet to come to Miami to visit her, but Juliet says she cannot leave the internship right now. Juliet is tempted, though, since she has always looked up to Ava and she loves her Titi Penny. As Juliet is researching, Kira drops a note on her book, asking her to meet her on the steps outside. They talk and flirt, and Kira asks if she can give Juliet a ride home. Juliet continues her research throughout the afternoon, and after the library closes waits on the steps. Kira pulls up on a motorcycle, shocking Juliet. Juliet revels in the freedom of the ride and the feeling of being with Kira. When they arrive, Juliet hugs Kira, who gives Juliet her number kisses...
