Summary
Part III is titled Miyax and opens with an image of Julie in a heavy parka with musk oxen in the background, though some readers may mistake them for buffalo. Julie heads for Kangik, following the path she and the wolves left. She stops to rest and sleeps through the noises of nature around her. She eventually meets up with Kapugen, accompanied by one of his sled dogs. She says the wolves are now in a place where there is moose available. Kapugen also has news and announces that Julie has a baby brother. Julie is stunned when he says baby's name is Amaroq.
