Devin Jones

Devin Jones is the main character and narrator of Stephen King’s Joyland. As the narrator, Jones is an elderly gentleman who has been through a great deal in his life, including prostate cancer. Young Jones is a college student who has recently had his heartbroken by his first real love, Wendy Keegan. The couple had gone their separate ways for the college summer break – Wendy to Boston and Jones to work at Joyland amusement park in North Carolina. Even though Jones the narrator is an old man, he still pines for the love he lost with Wendy. There are many incidents he recalls with stunning clarity.
