Chapter 14 Summary and Analysis

Dick helps Joni cope with her lost relationship with Don. Don had conveyed his confusion and uncertainty about his feelings for Joni to Dick. Through her conversations with Dick, she gains new understanding into what Don was going through. Joni gets supports from her friends, especially Steve, who is always able to convey the Lord's Word to her in the most succinct and passionate manner. Joni does not allow any bitterness to settle in over the lost relationship. Through prayer she understands that Don was a gift to her. His presence in her life made her realize that since her accident she had always depended on someone else to make her content and happy.
