Importance: In this line of dialogue Megan gives the very practical suggestion that Jillian might not currently be equipped to care for a dog. However, Jillian ignores all practical and financial concerns, and she decides to adopt a dog. This action reflects the poor sense of judgment that unfortunately defines many of Jillian's decisions.
