Summary

In Part 1, Chapter 5, Jillian watches TV with Adam and decides to no longer dwell on the dog she had wanted to adopt. However, she still wants a pet dog, and Adam likes the idea too, so Jillian researches other possible ways to adopt a dog. The narrative then shifts focus to Megan the next morning.
