Jerad and Tammy Whiteaker
Jerad was an employee at the GM plant when company officials announced the closing. While most were shocked or scared, Jerad was relieved because he hated the job but knew he could not earn nearly as much money at another job in the area. Jerad was initially happy to treat the lay off like a vacation, but he soon saw the financial hardships his family was going to face. He began looking for work. He worked two factory jobs before landing a job at the Rock County Sheriff's Office. He began having panic attacks at the jail and was advised that he should find something else.
