Summary
In Chapter 28, Jacob overhears Lina recounting the fairy tail story he told her to Rafael, a boy living in the ghetto. After Lina tells him the deal, Rafael doubts the veracity of the story, insisting that it is full of unlikely details. After hearing this exchange, Jacob decides to go on a walk and remembers what the town used to be like before the Nazis took over.
