Summary

In Chapter 22, Belly changed her clothes, and then a car pulled into the driveway. She went downstairs to see Conrad opening the door for Sandy Donatti, Mr. Fisher’s real estate agent. She chastised Conrad for sending her away and telling her that the house was off the market. He said that he had sent the movers she had sent away and accused her of sleeping with his father. He told her to tell his father that the house was not going up for sale. She said she would talk thing over with Mr. Fisher and then left. Belly, stunned, asked Conrad what was happening. He said his father was trying to sell the house and he was trying to stop it from happening. He asked Belly not to tell Jeremiah, and she agreed.
