Summary

In Chapter 18, narrated by Lily, Allysa asks Lily if Ryle hates Atlas so much because Lily cheated on Ryle with Atlas. Lily says she did not. Lily tells Allysa she has not even kissed Atlas since she was 16 years old. She admits that she wants to wait as long as possible before telling Ryle about Atlas because she is afraid of Ryle’s anger. Allysa advises her to go ahead and tell Ryle about Atlas, that he did not have a choice but to get over it.

Atlas brings lunch for both Lily and Allysa. Allysa tells Atlas that Lily will not have Emerson the following Saturday because she is going to a wedding, a hint for Lily to invite Atlas.
