Summary

In Chapter 13, narrated by Atlas, a co-worker texts Atlas that Sutton is waiting for him at Bib’s. Atlas believes his mother wants money so he is surprised when she says that she cannot find Josh. Atlas has no idea who Josh is or why he would know where he was.

Sutton explains that Josh is Atlas’s 11-year-old brother. Atlas is shocked and angered to learn that he has a brother he never knew about. Sutton says that Josh is Tim’s son, but Tim left years prior. She says she has not seen Josh in two weeks. She also says she has not reported his disappearance to the police because he is not really missing. She says he is just trying to make her mad. Sutton is more concerned that the police are going to arrest her for Josh’s truancy...
