Summary

In Chapter 17, a storm began the day before Brendan was set to return to Westport. However, she started panicking when thinking about what might happen to Brendan out at sea if the storm got any worse. She ran across the street to Red Buoy and learned that a typhoon was coming in from Alaska. Hannah rushed off to the record store she had started working at and Piper stayed alone in the bar. Lightning started striking and the electricity went out. Piper panicked and decided to use the spare key Brendan had left her. She ran through the storm to his house so she could feel closer to him. She took a shower and prayed that he would arrive in the morning. Meanwhile, Brendan and his crew tried to make their way home, but they were hit with a rogue wave.
