Plethora, Maine

Plethora, Maine is the city in which Lily grows up and the place where she meets Atlas. Lily discovers that Atlas is living in the abandoned house that sits in the lot adjacent to the one where she lives. Lily’s father, Andrew, is the mayor of Plethora. Lily’s mother refuses to call the police on Andrew because she fears it will cost him his job.

The Rooftop of Allysa’s Apartment

Lily and Ryle meet each other on the rooftop of Allysa’s apartment. Lily has sought out a building with a good rooftop patio where she can see the stars and relax after the disastrous eulogy she gave for her father. Ryle interrupts her solace when he comes to the roof to deal with his emotions after watching a young boy die after he was unintentionally shot by his brother.
