Summary
In Chapter 13, Ryle tells Lily that their relationship is easier than he thought it would be because Lily does not pressure him to be someone he is not.
In Chapter 14, while Ryle is spending the day with Lily at her apartment, they forget a casserole in the oven. Ryle burns his hand when he attempts to remove the casserole from the oven without a hot pad. Lily is laughing because she is drunk. She does not immediately realize how detrimental a burn on Ryle’s hand could be to his career. She is still laughing when she looks at his hand as he holds it under cold water.
Suddenly Lily is on the floor. Her eye is hurting because she hit it on a cabinet knob. Ryle’s fist had shot out and knocked her to the floor. She hears Ryle curse...
