Summary

In Chapter 9, after she finishes reading the journal entry, Lily is crying even though her experience with Atlas happened such a long time ago.

Lily is excited when she sees a text from Ryle that he is on his way to see her. He looks exhausted and tells her that he just assisted with an 18-hour surgery. Lily gives him a massage. He tells her that she is probably the best thing that has happened to him. They have sex for the first time. Both agree it is the best they have ever had.

In Chapter 10, Allysa admits to Lily that she is working to take her mind off being unable to get pregnant.
