Tucker Case
The main character in the novel, Tucker Case is a thirty year old pilot, intent on living his life to the fullest by any means necessary. At the outset of the novel Tuck doesn't have a care in the world, working as the private pilot of Mary Jean Dobbins, the head of a multi-million dollar cosmetic company. Flying from city to city, occupying himself with different women and alcohol during layovers, Tuck is a classic case of immaturity, believing that life is for living and any problems will work themselves out by themselves or with the help of a friend or two.
