Serena Killingsworth

Serena Killingsworth is a 15-year-old girl that lives in California with her older brother and father. Serena recently found out that she is one of the Daughters of the Moon. As one of the Daughters of the Moon, Serena has the power to read minds and to bury memories people have.

Serena's three best friends, Jimena, Catty and Vanessa, are also daughters of the moon. Serena's mentor is a retired school teacher, Maggie. Serena is learning how to manage her powers throughout the novel. Additionally, it seems as if Serena might be the Lecta, the chosen one.
