Chapters 22, 23 and 24 Summary

Vanessa turns herself invisible in front of the new cameras covering the fire. Vanessa appears and disappears. Serena is trying to figure out what Vanessa is doing when Jimena tackles her. Jimena forces the moon amulet onto Serena, which burns Serena's skin. Jimena pulls Serena into the cold fore. The cold fire burns way Serena's immortality but it also burns Jimena. When they step out of the fire, Jimena is dying.

Serena pulls the key from the old woman from her pocket and places it on Kimena. Jimena comes back to life and the girls escape to Jimena's car before the officials can get to them. Jimena tells the girls that Hekate led her back to the door of life but that Serena's key is what allowed her to unlock it and come back.
