Chapters 20 and 21 Summary

Serena pulls Zahi into the fire with her. She starts chanting in Latin, turning Zahi back into a mortal. Serena sees her friends, firefighters and policeman running toward them. Serena remains in the flames, drawing from its power. Her friends stare at her in shock and amazement. Serena starts to wonder what it will be like to live forever.

Serena picks up her moon amulet necklace, but it burns her hand. She stares at her friends as they stare back at her. Serena prepares to fight the goddesses that were once her friends. Jimena convinces the other girls that they have to get Serena back into the fire to burn the immortality off of her.
