Chapters 12 and 13 Summary

The night of the rave, Jimena brings Chinese to Serena's house. Serena convinces Jimena she is sick and gets Jimena to leave. Collin heads out to surf so Serena gets ready for the rave. She has a bad feeling right before the doorbell rings and Zahi is standing there to pick her up.

Zahi and Serena drive out to the desert. Zahi parks the car and they walk the rest of the way. When they arrive at the rave, Zahi convinces Serena to go to a smaller group of kids to dance. When Serena sees the phosphorescent eyes that indicate the kids are Followers, she tells Zahi that they have to leave.
