Summary

In Chapter 15, Layla lies in bed and pulls out an apology note from David. When Layla tells Ayesha what he suggested, she says Layla should consider it. Layla insists she will not leave anyone behind. They discuss other possibilities for escape. Layla thinks writing something might be their answer. She references the White Rose, Hans and Sophie Scholl, who wrote resistance pamphlets during WWII. Soheil joins their conversation. He supports their plan to resist. Though the friends know the Scholl siblings were executed, their work started a movement towards change.

Layla thinks if they write stories about the injustices of Camp Mobius, they can spur more outside action. They eventually agree they will need David and Jake's help. They also plan to recruit others to join a hunger strike. They all sit together and refuse to eat during a meal. They decide to...
