Summary

In Chapter 11, Peter goes to visit Sylvia at her office but discovers she is “out sick from work” (281). He texts her to see if she is okay and she asks him to pick up her prescriptions and “leave them outside the apartment door” (282). When he arrives, Peter lets himself and finds Sylvia lying between the coffee table and couch. She is in pain and did not want him to see her this way. He helps her clean up, take her medications, and get into bed. They lie together and talk. Peter finds himself remembering when they were together years ago. They talk about their relationship and breakup. Sylvia still loves Peter but wants him to have a happy life. Finally, they start kissing and touching each other.
